"So Barnabas went to Tarsus to look for Saul, and when he had found him, he brought him to Antioch. For a whole year they met with the church and taught a great many people. And in Antioch the disciples were first called Christians." -- Acts 11:25-26
What's in a name? As the old phrase reads, "A rose by any other name smells the same". At the end of the day it really doesn't matter what the name is, it's the character and quality of life that really matters.
The early believers went from being called disciples to Christians. In those days this name meant a great deal because it reflected personal character and quality of life. These were "Christ Ones" and they lived like the Savior.
Do you embrace the name "Christian" my friend? What does it mean in your day to day living? Is it a simple religious identity or does if speak of personal character and quality of life? Are you really a "Christ One"? A true Christian lives like the Savior.
