Today's Readings: OT - Exodus 12:1-28 / NT - John 2:23-3:15
"But Jesus on his part did not entrust himself to them, because he knew all people and needed no one to bear witness about man, for he himself knew what was in man." - John 2:24-25
We are often misled by others to believe things about them that are just not true. No matter how much time we spend with them and how much we learn about them, we never really know them, do we? No one can know what is in another person... Really? No one?
From the very beginning of the Lord's ministry he gave evidence of his complete knowledge of the hearts and souls of people. He began with Nathaniel in chapter one and continued in this account. The Lord knows our every thought and every secret motive, even before we think them.(here and in Psalm 139:4) You can run... but you can't hide.
Never believe for a moment my friend, that your ways are hidden from the Lord. (John 1:48/Psalm 139:3) He knows your secret thoughts from afar and one day you will be stand accountable before him.(Romans 2:16) Remember, as you live every moment, that you live in the very presence of the Lord.
