"And those who are wise shall shine like the brightness of the sky above; and those who turn many to righteousness, like the stars forever and ever." -- Daniel 12:3
In every age and prophetic setting, those who choose to live wisely before God and turn others to righteousness will be honored. Righteous living and evangelistic fervor is not just a New Testament phenomenon. God's heart has always desired His people to be holy as He is holy and have a compassion for the lost.
The long reaching results of such living is spoken of in this passage as shining "like the brightness of the sky above". Do you expect your future life to shine like the stars my friend? Are you focused on your heavenly glory enough to sacrifice in this life? Do you make a concerted effort to "turn many to righteousness"? Being wise, is knowing what really counts in the face of eternity.
