"So, my brothers, you also died to the law through the body of Christ, that you might belong to another, to him who was raised from the dead, in order that we might bear fruit to God." -- Romans 7:4
A florist delivers flowers because of his job. A husband delivers flowers because of his love. The one fulfills his task out of obligation and the other out of devotion. Now, when the florist gives flowers to his wife his obligation ceases and his romance begins. The difference is a relationship.
The law was given to reveal the inability of man to fulfill his obligation to God. It was never meant to save his soul or enable him to bear spiritual fruit. In Christ we not only died to sin, but we also died to the law. Now we belong to the One who rose from the dead in order that we might bear fruit to God. The obligation has ceased and the romance has begun. The difference is a relationship.
Why do you strive to live a Godly life my friend? Is it because of legal expectations? This train left the station at Calvary and you now belong to Jesus with a loving devotion. Take him flowers of romance, not of obligation. Jesus said in John 14:15, "If you love me, you will obey what I command."

Can you truly estimate the value of the moments of each day? Occasionally a loved one, a friend, a neighbor or co-worker slips into eternity. One passes away after a long illness and another without warning . Now that they're gone you grasp at memories with a deep yearning to have those moments back again.
As someone once wrote... life isn't about the breaths that we take, it's about the moments that take our breath away. Life is far more than the years that we live; it's about the moments that we embrace with all our heart and treasure for all time. It's about people. People that make us smile, that lift us up, that spur us on, and love us when we are most unlovable. Moments with such people change us forever.
Then again, for some people, life is just passing by. But, there are a few that swim in the deep waters of the Almighty, and life for them is an epic adventure. He embraces them in the midnight hours of sorrow and carries them through the fury of every storm. They awaken each morning to His soft touch of love and mercy, ever ready to lead them into new moments that will take their breath away.
Live today with total abandon! Put your hand in the hand of the Man from Galilee. Place your heart in the care of the One whose heart was pierced for you. Know this to be true... every moment that you live with and in Him will take your breath away.
